Trademark FAQs - related questions & answers

Question: How do I protect my company logo?

Answer:
You may register your logo with us as either a trademark or service mark, depending on the nature of your business.

Question: What is TDR?

Answer:
TDR is the Trademark Document Retrieval system. TDR displays the electronic file wrapper of U.S. Trademark applications and applications for Extensions of Protection, as well as U.S. Trademark Registrations.

Question: Do I need to translate my trademarks into a foreign language?

Answer:
No. When translating text/documents into another language, the trademark doesn’t need to be translated. Often there is no literal translation of the term, and the significance of the trademark is not how it translates.
